Yggdrasil MGZ is a quarterly magazine that features art, essays, fiction, and gaming material for the Torchbearer RPG. It marries the sensibilities of a one person 'zine with a deep appreciation for the house gaming magazines of the past. If you have a fondness for the magazines Dragon, Dungeon, Warp Stone, White Dwarf, and White Wolf, Yggdrasil MGZ has something for you.
In Issue 4 of Yggdrasil MGZ you get an issue dedicated to a single sprawling adventure for the Torchbearer RPG. Inspired by the movie Die Hard, the adventuring party is caught in the middle of someone else's plans. The party they were attending with friends and family gets interrupted by invaders and they, much like John McClain, need to figure out how to be a fly in the ointment.
Designed to take advantage of Torchbearer's unique turn structure called the Grind, the adventurers have a limited amount of time to achieve their goals. The antagonists in the adventure are also tied to this structure providing game masters a simple method of tracking their independent actions. Together, these systems make it possible for no two adventures to be the same.
