WRAITHBORN is a Grim Folk Fantasy setting for Mörk Borg & OSR TTRPGs. Inspired by Folk Music, Ritual Magic, Grim Dark Fantasy and the Natural World around us it sets a path through a dark and twisted interpretation of the natural and physical history of the authors homelands; the Veiled Realm of Sgàil.
Sgàil is a shadowed echo of a medieval reality where the un-dead & the cursed reside beside the wretched & vile whom call this world home. As a dark mirror of our own reality, it can exist in many facets and expressions, yet In this book, it focuses on the realms of the Tortured Isles, inspired by the authors homelands.
Tir, a once idyllic wilderness now overrun by Vampiric despots from the Frozen North. Rhydd, home to a nomdaic druid peoples, who zealously revere the draconic beings that have protected their lands since time immortal, and hold the vampiric hordes at bay. Iodum, an endless urban sprawl of industry and torment. Niève, a city state in the aftermath of rebellion from a torturous leader. & Finally Fynn, a wasteland of their peoples own creation, as they sought to rip apart the fabric of reality and walk in Heaven’s glory, only to render their once green land into a toxic mire, as they’re IronClad now wander the land in search of their fabled passage to higher planes.
