"We Dig Giant Robots" Rocks On To Kickstarter December 17th
A small, one-shot focused RPG inspired by the beloved cartoon, Megas XLR, will be making it to Kickstarter on December 17th.
We Dig Giant Robots is a beer-n-pretzels, light-weight roleplaying game made for one-shots. Inspired by the irreverent mecha show, Megas XLR, and drawing mechanical inspiration from Teenagers from Outerspace and Maid, We Dig Giant Robots is focused on getting in, blowing stuff up, and getting out.
Players take the role of the Hooligans. They pilot a prototype mecha from the future that they have heavily modified into their own hot rod, robot car. The Prototype is full of nonsensical super-weapons that no one can control or predict. Whenever one tries to activate one, things are going to get messy. They're up against a "monster-of-the-week" style Villain. A big bad who needs to be put down. The Hooligans have to discover their weaknesses and destroy them using the Prototype or else the city is toast.
We Dig Giant Robots comes from much of the same team as Friendship, Effort, Victory. Kamala Kara Arroyo remains the head designer with Falco on layout and Lib providing cover art. In a first for Ms. Arroyo, we are looking to Kickstart the title. Ms. Arroyo believes in ensuring fulfillment and has made sure the bulk of pre-production is complete before even starting the Kickstarter project. It is assured the PDF will be received shortly after the Kickstarter's end, with physical to follow shortly. There will be savings for anyone who invests in the Kickstarter over waiting for its release on DrivethruRPG.
We hope this newsletter rocked you hard and that you will be first in line when we launch. It's going to be a right-on, bass-blasting, good time!
