Tired with how the world’s been? Let’s see what’s happening in other dimensions!

Warped FM takes the normal format of tabletop role playing games and tosses it in the washer… which also doubles as your Portal to other dimensions. Unfortunately you don’t have the abilities to actually step through it, but other creatures are able to pop in whenever you turn it on. After having an extensive chat with various interdimensional guests, you realize what you gotta do: START A PODCAST!!

Obviously the most interesting and original idea you can come up with, you hire the other residents of your apartment to help you in getting this podcast off the ground. The Portal isn’t the newest model, as it's run by the broken washing machine in your laundry room basement. Creatures are shrouded in a gray cloud when they arrive, leaving you to guess what wonderful worlds exist beyond our own. With your determination and over-priced recording equipment, your listening numbers are sure to skyrocket into the stratosphere!

Overview

Warped FM is a rules-lite, GM-less ttrpg where players run a podcast, interviewing creatures from other dimensions. Players can be either Podcasters or Creatures, asking questions to learn hidden facts about each other. Perfect for 2 -5 players looking for something quick to put together, or people new to the TTRPG hobby.

A session plays out like a normal podcast/interview. Minimal dice rolls are used to randomize the scene, and hints are given throughout the chosen time limit. What mixes up the gameplay are various Objectives, Quirks, and Qualities that encourage how the players behave.

What to Expect

  • Giggle fits
  • Deep conversations
  • Creative Outbursts
  • Engaging Storytelling
  • No rules-induced headaches

Campaign & One-Shot

Warped FM is super flexible in being both a campaign and a one shot game. At the end of each session of Warped FM, players use the points they earned from completing objectives to add more entries to the roll tables. When the tables are filled at certain points, narrative Story Beats are triggered, and a branching narrative starts to play out. The choices you make in the Story adds different aspects to the game and changes how you play.

I won’t give too much away on what the story is actually about, but it could involve a secret society coming to find your Portal, or someone from another dimension trying to make their way home, or even a devious plot to turn all your cats purple (oh the humanity!) Campaigns are a digestible 5 session length, allowing your group of friends to try out multiple branching storylines.

Accessibility & Inclusivity

How are people supposed to enjoy your game if they physically can’t? I started Goosepoop Games to make tabletop games more accessible. My goal with the Warped FM Kickstarter is to have versions of Warped FM that are easy to read, can be read by screen readers, and include language void of fancy gamer jargon. I also am trying to raise funding to create a mini series that highlights amazing actors in the BIPOC and LGBTQIA2S+ communities. Games are meant for everyone, including you, dazzling reader.
