Rat Wave Game House has released a new trailer for Transgender Deathmatch Legend II. News reports on transphobia in the UK are intercut with wrestling promos, over images of flames and testimonials praising the original game. The trailer promises that Transgender Deathmatch Legend II is coming to BackerKit later this year and the teaser page is live now at deathmatch.ratwave.uk.
Transgender Deathmatch Legend II is card-based beat-em-up for 2* players. In this hyperviolent and aggressively queer tabletop roleplaying game you'll step into the shoes of a hard done by trans wrestler in the city of Slamchester. You know the world is hard, you hit harder. You'll crawl through different hexmaps with their own unique stories while combat is resolved via a trick-taking game with individual tricks zooming in on the beat-by-beat spectacle of violence.

The original and acclaimed Transgender Deathmatch Legend zine was released in 2022 by Kayla Dice. Now the award-winning creator is returning to the world of Slamchester with a bigger and badder follow up. The sequel will feature six new scenarios and hexmaps, revised rules, new fighting styles, alternative modes of play, and a series of personal essays.
In a former life in the squared circle Dice did battle as the Unbreakable Heart Kayla Fizz. Donning a red skirt and multi-coloured facepaint this heavy-hitting hero stood up against bullies in Burning Hearts Fighting Entertainment. She was the Trans Torpedo, a defender of the downtrodden. But that was a long time ago. The opening essay of the book discusses those experiences, her feelings about wrestling, why she finally quit, and how all that informed the game.

The seven scenarios will include a remastered version of the original games plot, as well as new stories like Informed Dissent (which pits your character against healthcare gatekeepers), the Warriors-inspired Survival in the City, the locker-room struggle focused Over a Burning Bridge and the time-based hexcrawl Fight Forever, among more.
