When: Saturday, November 30th 2024 from 9am to 7:30pm

Where: Sauternes room, 2nd floor, Dragonmeet @ Novotel Hammersmith, London

What's Going On?

All of the following events are scheduled in the PoC Lounge. With the exception of guests invited by the lounge organizers, we respectfully ask that non-PoC attendees do not join the events listed below.

Panel: Professionalism in TTRPGs 09:00 – 10:00

Join Taylor Navarro (Diana Jones Award Emerging Designer 2024) and Jasper William Cartwright (Three Black Halflings, Dimension 20, Critical Role) as they talk with Nathan Blades about professionalism in a hobbyist industry, what actually constitutes as "professional", and provide the audience with practical pointers for sending emails, making portfolios, and networking.

Panel: Design Your First TTRPG 10:00 – 11:00

Have you ever wanted to design a TTRPG but don't know where to start? Sit down with Finley Jinley, Tejas O., Arthur WH, and Taylor Navarro as they talk about the first TTRPGs they published and demystify the steps needed to make your very own TTRPG!

Speed Run Game Jam 11:00 – 12:30

It’s chaos in the PoC Lounge as we invite PoC attendees to join us for an hour to make your own one-page TTRPG! Work in groups or by yourself to create a one-page game using the theme, mechanics, and materials provided. Hosted by Diana Jones Emerging Designer Taylor Navarro, this event is some light-hearted fun for people who love to make games or have never made a game before.

 PoC Networking Event 12:30 – 14:30

Join Taylor Navarro (DJA Emerging Designer 2024) and Jasper William Cartwright (Three Black Halflings, Dimension 20, Critical Role) in the PoC Lounge for this two-hour networking event. Meet fellow PoC creators in the TTRPG space  to make friends and find collaborators for your upcoming projects. Attendance for the full two hours is not necessary. We encourage you to bring business cards if you have them and curiosity (and maybe a pen) if you don't!

 PoC Gaming Hour (and a Half!) 14:30 – 16:00

Take a break and play some games while you're at Dragonmeet! Find games like Here to Slay and Exploding Kittens in the PoC Lounge, or bring up your own games bought from the Trading Hall to take a load off before the afternoon panels, podcasts, and fun!

 Panel: Actual Play 101 16:00 – 17:00

Thinking about performing in Actual Play but don't know where to start? Join Jasper William Cartwright (Three Black Halflings, Dimension 20, Critical Role), Wren, Michelle Kelly, and Khalil Thirlaway as they talk about everything you need to know (and all the things you don't need to buy) to get started in performing in TTRPG Actual Plays.

 Panel: Marketing Your Content 17:00 – 18:00

Whether it's selling games or promoting an Actual Play, getting eyes on your content is tough! Join Aida (EUphoria) as she talks to CJ Starry (Rowan, Rook & Deckard) and Adelaide about different ways to market your content for a range of budgets and skill levels.

 Game Exchange 18:30 – 19:30

The Trading Hall may be closed but you can still get new games! Bring a physical copy of your game up to the PoC Lounge and trade it with someone else! Whether it's a one-page game, zine length, or a quick start, any and all games are welcome.

Whether you make games, play games, or just want to see what all the fuss is about, there is an event for everyone, so if you're PoC and attending Dragonmeet, make sure to stop by the Sauternes room on the second floor to meet members of your community and have some fun!
