The One-Page RPG Jam returns for 2024
The biggest tabletop game jam is back for its fifth year.
The One-Page RPG Jam is an annual game jam hosted on itch.io, where participants are challenged to design a tabletop role-playing game that fits on a single sheet of A4 or US Letter. Entrants have one month to do all the writing, layout, and graphic design for their game, which must be a fully playable RPG in its own right. Submissions can be brand new systems, or based on other popular one-page role-playing games such as Lasers & Feelings (John Harper) and Honey Heist (Grant Howitt).
The jam has an optional theme to help spark inspiration for anyone who wants to use it, or can be ignored if sticking to a single page is already enough of a restriction. This year the optional theme is Transport, however you want to interpret that.
For 2024, the jam runs from Monday 22nd July through to midnight (BST) Sunday 25th August 2024, at which point submissions close.
Over the last four years of jams, designers have created over fifteen-hundred new role-playing games across a breadth of genres and styles. The jam is unranked to give participants full flexibility to experiment with new ideas, making it the perfect place for newcomers looking to design their first game, as well as industry veterans looking for a new challenge.
More information, including the full rules and frequently asked questions, can be found on the jam website.
