What is The Abbot Trilogy?
The Abbot Trilogy is a collection of three system-agnostic adventures; Abbotsmoore, Bitterpeak, and Steelhollow. We have created three adventures to run in your favourite tabletop roleplaying game. Adventures designed for ease of use and to ensure weird and wonderful expeditions for your party. Link each adventure and play them as a larger campaign or run as a one shot. We designed them with re-playability in mind, giving the Gamemaster adventures that feel fresh to run with each group.
While these adventures lean heavily on fantasy tropes, we have interspersed them with science fiction elements. You will find alien remains, laser pistols, and wrecked starships when entering these adventures.
The Abbot Trilogy Features:
- Three fully developed adventures, each lasting at least 2-3 hours.
- Each adventure has its distinct, yet connected, themes and atmosphere.
- Magic items, clues, quests, and NPCs that link between the adventures.
- Hex and point crawls, weird monsters and unusual social encounters.
- Simple stat blocks for ease of use with any TTRPG system.
- Custom cover and interior art for each adventure.
- Clear and flavourful text for fluid running of games at the table.
Abbotsmoore
What was once a sprawling expanse of magical innovation is now a few scattered buildings covered in muck. The magic these ancient folk wielded can still be found throughout, it weaves through everything in this forsaken stinking bog.
Deep in the swamp The Abbot waits.
Bitterpeak
MacReady’s Hut is the last outpost before the Endless Tundra. A bitter cold constantly blows down from the north. When winds push the clouds away The Bitterpeak can be seen. The only change is on the northern horizon. A frozen mountain that is said to contain an ancient relic.
The legends say that Demonsbane, a weapon forged in the Abyss and capable of unspeakable carnage, was hidden inside the mountain. In years past, adventurers have tried their luck in finding it.
All have died.
Steelhollow
On the edge of the world is a desert. Harenja, a sea of dunes that stretch to the horizon. Many believe there are valleys of water and lush forests on the other side. But any who have ventured into those sands, and returned, know there is no other side. It is just sand, ruins, and unspeakable monstrosities.
There has been rumour of a fortress that lies hidden. One who’s spire is revealed from time to time when the winds are just right, and the rolling hills of sand make for it to appear. This is the jewel that the most reckless seek, the Steelhollow.
They say a god is trapped within it.
