Designer Adam Vass (Necronautilus, 1978: The Night They Came Home, Cybermetal 2012) is no stranger to horror. With dozens of titles in the last few years focusing on the macabre, the murderous, and the morose, they've shown off their proclivity for and love of the genre and its many subgenres. Now, they've returned from the dead to bring to life five new RPG's, each more horrifying than the last.
"The Midnight Marathon was a way for me to stretch out my design chops some more and explore some horror themes that I either haven't touched before or have since gotten better at. This started with rewatching one of my favorite movies Creep this winter and thinking 'how would I make a game about this guy?' He is so charismatic in an unsettling way and I didn't know if I wanted to roleplay as him or his victims, so I started what would become Blood Lock, and then I just couldn't turn my brain off and ended up with a whole suite of games."
From the cryptid-hunting Michigan Dogman, the demonically possessed The Rites of Exorcism, and even a mystery title that will be revealed later in the campaign, Adam Vass's MIDNIGHT MARATHON boasts something gory and special for all horror lovers.
The campaign is live on Backerkit from February 4th, 2025 until the 20th, with backers being able to get one zine for $15 or the whole suite for $45, a discount of over $20.
