Striking Workers at Vallejo Paint Factory Claim Victory
Vallejo issues public statement acknowledging the agreement
On December 20, shortly after Rascal published an update on the situation, CGT Catalunya announced on Bluesky that industrial action at the Acrylicos Vallejo factory had ended with a victory for the workers. Representatives for the strikers successfully negotiated with management, winning increased pay and benefits, a new workplace harassment protocol, and promised occupational safety improvements in line with inspectors’ recommendations.
A pre-agreement has been signed which includes a raise of up to €3000 plus a “social aid package” offering additional payments to workers with children.
