Steve Jackson Games Brings Choose Cthulhu Books 7-10 To Kickstarter
Follow-up to successful 2023 crowdfunding campaign goes live October 1
For decades, horror and science fiction fans have praised the works of H.P. Lovecraft. Now, readers can experience these tales of terror in a whole new way with Choose Cthulhu, a series of solo adventure books where each decision leads readers toward their ultimate destiny. After a successful 2023 Kickstarter campaign that introduced the first six books, Steve Jackson Games has returned to the crowdfunding platform to introduce the next four books in the series.
Based on some of H. P. Lovecraft’s most famous tales and settings, Choose Cthulhu is a series of solo adventures that takes players on a spine-tingling journey through a world of eldritch terror. Along the way, readers will be confronted with decisions that can change the outcome of the story . . . and the reader’s fate.
The next books in the series include:
Choose Cthulhu Book 7: The Arkham Madhouse – “You have found yourself locked up in the most famous psychiatric institution in the world: the Arkham Asylum. But why?”
Choose Cthulhu Book 8: The Color Out of Space – “A strange rock has plummeted from the sky onto Nahum Gardner’s farm on the outskirts of Arkham – just as you were sent to research the feasibility of a water reservoir in the area . . . ”
Choose Cthulhu Book 9: The Festival – “Summoned to your ancestral city of
Kingsport by an uncle you barely know, you are invited to take part in a Yuletide Festival that only happens every 100 years . . .”
Choose Cthulhu Book 10: The Whisperer in Darkness – “In Townshend, Vermont, some unidentifiable remains dragged by the swollen rivers seem to attest to the presence of extraterrestrial life in its rural hills . . . ”
