AdeptiCon has been and gone, which means loads of announcements for wargames. Atomic Mass Games is one of the better companies when it comes to comprehensive release roadmaps, and this year was no exception. Star Wars: Shatterpoint and Marvel Crisis Protocol showed off  plenty of shiny new stuff, but it was Star Wars: Legion that got the rancor’s share, thanks to revised rules and an accompanying packaging refresh benefitting what looks like the entire line. The venerable soft plastic Rebel Trooper and Stormtrooper minis are being replaced with new hard plastic kits to bring them up to par with newer releases. There are new starter armies and some brand new units, too.

Now, I’m sure you’re wondering why I’m blathering on about this. Rascal, as a rule, does not do “Company Has Announced Product” stories. That’s why we have the announcements section! I hope you’ll excuse me on this occasion because one line of new minis has me incredibly excited. AMG has solved a niggling issue I have with Legion and subsequently made it the perfect Star Wars game.
