Public Access: Playback Static Podcast Is Live!
Just remember: There is nothing wrong in Degoya County...
Hello one and all to the official press release for Public Access: Playback Static Podcast!
Playback Static is a horror TTRPG Actual Play using the game Public Access written by Jason Cordova. The podcast follows a group of young mid-twenty something people (known as the Deep Lake Latch Keys) as they attempt to solve the local mysteries in Deep Lake, NM and the wider area of Degoya County. The Latch Keys are also investigating what happened to the infamous public access TV station, TV Odyssey, as the station literally disappeared. The Latch Keys will soon learn that nothing is a coincidence in Degoya County. Not by a long shot.
But what of the podcast itself? Who is playing the Latch Keys? Where can people listen to or support the podcast?
The cast is a majority BIPOC and LGBTQ+ and you can find the current, former, and guest cast by clicking the hyperlinks. From Jellyfishlines guiding our Latch Keys through the urbanized desert, to each Latch Key discovering the horrors of Escondido Street (and beyond), there is something for everyone who loves horror.
The aim of the podcast is to give exposure to BIPOC TTRPG voices that may have not been heard before. The podcast is recorded as raw as possible to have the feel of an Actual Play while having some long pauses removed. The players have also never played Public Access before, and the Keeper is also learning while driving the car. While the podcast is nailing down a solid release schedule, you can find more information about the podcast on the About landing page.
Our Pilot Episode - The Fools On Rodenbecker Street Part 1 can be found on most podcast platforms including Spotify and Apple Podcasts. If you wish to support the podcast, there is a Patreon where supporters get the episodes a day early and access to a community Discord server.
We hope you enjoy Playback Static.
