This is a community submitted press release.

Enter a fantasy world that’s falling under the sickly-sweet-sway of
an undead witch, in a new pre-written adventure for a highly-accessible tabletop
roleplaying game. This is absolutely one for fans of Grimm’s Fairy Tales, Jim
Henson’s Labyrinth and Disney’s The Black Cauldron.

Sweet Revenge is a ready-made campaign for Perils & Princesses, a fairytale inspired roleplaying game that has players rescuing themselves with the help of their own unique fairy godmothers. Players can create their own princess characters by choosing from a variety of personal attributes—including appearance and chosen gender—as well as a power granted to them by their fairy godmother such as baking magical treats, or healing the wounded with locks of your hair.

In this new adventure, players will find themselves fighting against a delicious-yet-dangerous threat! Though deceased, the dreaded Dulcinea—a witch of great and terrible power whose search for eternal life eventually led to her death—has unleashed a curse across the land, one which twists its victims into half-flesh, half-candied monsters. These sorry creatures, driven by their sugary transformations, have been raging in nearby towns and forests, much to the terror of the locals. Even worse, however, is the threat the curse poses to the people themselves: promising a sticky end for those unfortunate enough to fall under its spell.

As a princess in this RPG adventure, players will be tasked with finding a series of enchanted items that have been scattered across the world. In order to find these
items, players must travel through a gamut of fantastic locations, including forests teeming with candy-coated creatures, a faerie ball whose guests promise unimaginable wonders, for the right price, a dungeon ruled over by a tyrannical rat king and a witch’s lair that’s still haunted the ghost of Dulcinea.

Throughout their journeys, the group will encounter any number of candy-themed monsters and enemies they may have to fight or avoid: such as honey badgers,
dark chocolate knights and gummy bears. Should players be unfortunate enough to run afoul of Dulcinea’s curse, they could find themselves turning into the
likes of honey cakes, peanut brittle or saltwater taffy.

On top of the main quest, Sweet Revenge offers a collection of unique encounters for players to discover during their travels. These special encounters can be found by exploring certain locations or stumbled across at random. Sweet Revenge also supports systems for foraging, for those who thrive in the outdoors, and features a variety of shops, such as apothecaries and bakeries, for players who enjoy a bit of retail therapy.
