Paizo Announces New Partnership with The Game Theatre to Host Pathfinder and Starfinder Weekend Vacations in Landmark Locations.
In 2025, The Game Theatre, a gaming vacation company, will launch a new series of Official Paizo weekend vacation events in historical United States landmarks, beginning with Pathfinder in a Palace.
Paizo Inc. has partnered with The Game Theatre, LLC, a gaming vacation production company, to create a series of Paizo-licensed weekend roleplaying gaming events and experiences featuring professionally run Pathfinder and Starfinder Adventure Paths. The first event is named Pathfinder in a Palace. It will be hosted February 7-9, 2025, at Glencairn Museum, a national historic registered location near Philadelphia, PA.
Pathfinder in a Palace will offer an "all-inclusive" weekend getaway experience. Players can complete ‘accelerated’ Adventure Paths in three days while immersed inside thematic medieval-inspired historical landmarks in the United States.
“The Game Theatre has produced gaming vacation weekends for a decade in many of North America's most magical venues. We are excited to give the Paizo player community the unique opportunity to plan their next vacation around completing an amazing Adventure Path in a magical, historic, yet comfortable location to create lasting memories with family and friends,” said Paizo Publisher, Erik Mona, “The Game Theatre’s event experience and relationships with remarkable locations will make Pathfinder in a Palace an exciting vacation option for everyone interested in having a thematic gaming vacation that is easy to travel to and plan for.”
“Our event company’s mission has always been to tell epic stories through theatrical gaming. Our motto has been, ‘We do what’s best for the story,’ and that is why we take pride in bringing people together to share adventures,” said Christopher Batarlis, co-owner of The Game Theatre and president of his own game publishing company, Everything Epic. “Paizo’s commitment to its fans is why I believed our company’s RPG vacation model would be a great fit for Pathfinder and Starfinder.”
“A significant part of The Game Theatre’s success is ensuring that our player guests are comfortable and have access to everything they need so they can focus on their adventures,” said Evan Michaels, co-owner of The Game Theatre. “We carefully curate our gaming vacation experiences to include hotel stay, meals, beverages, and more, all within super-thematic locations that we’ve built trust with over many years, to provide value to our guests.”
The Glencairn Museum in Bryn Athyn, PA, minutes north of Philadelphia, PA, will host the inaugural run of Pathfinder in a Palace on February 7-9, 2025—popular Adventure Paths, such as Abomination Vaults will be run at the event.
