The Baking-Adventure game StoryBake has only one week left on it's Kickstarter! The goal for creator Dan Walter is to get $5,000, and they are 75% of the way there!
StoryBake is a game about the magic of baking, the power of friendship, and finding wonder and adventure in a mundane world. You play as a magical baker who travels the world in their bakery, which moves from town to town taking the bakers wherever they need to be. There are 10 unique Specialties to play as, all inspired by different styles of baking, like Cakes, Cookies, Frozen, Patisserie, and more!
Included with the game are 8 pre-written adventures and recipes written by Dan inspired by them! The recipes are all compatible with gluten-free baking (and compatible with Dan's Celiac's disease).
The different tiers include: the full 80 page PDF with all the rules, specialties, and 8 pre-written adventures with recipes inspired by them; 5 extra adventures and recipes and StoryBake stickers; a set of StoryBake dice by DiceSeeds and a StoryBake apron; a private playlist of in depth baking instructions and lessons by Dan; and a game session of StoryBake written by Dan!
Dan is joined in the kitchen by several writers and artists and creators to help bring this game out of the oven. Danny Quach, VJ Harris, Diana LoRicco, and Shayne Colli all are contributing pre-written adventures. Tyler Palma, Saba Torres, Barclay Travis, and Jess Parnham are all making some wonderful art. Abbey Kelly is doing the layout and design. And Keelie Mlay is doing the copy editing! A chef is only as good as their kitchen, and this batch of cooks is the best around!
The full game will be released in December 2024, but this is your only chance to get the exclusive Kickstarter rewards, like the dice and the apron! The Kickstarter ends April 19th so time is running out!
