Oceania 2084 - Surplus Edition, the Orwellian TTRPG

After months of anticipation and hard work, I am thrilled to unveil the fully illustrated edition of Oceania 2084 - Surplus Edition. The game is the result of a 5 year long design process that culminated in a successful Kickstarter during spring 2024, with the goal to turn the game into a fully illustrated and improved edition to be printed as a hardback book. Thanks to all the backers I got to spend another couple of months polishing the game into the state it is now.

The game is an unconventional semi-collaborative storytelling game based on the book 1984 written by George Orwell. It is dark. It is dystopian, but it is ultimately about hope and struggle against a totalitarian world order.

The book features original artwork by Mika Edström who has worked tirelessly since the Kickstarter ended. Their thoughtful and beautifully painted illustrations really helps drive home the mood and the chilling realism of the game.

Where can I find the game?

Oceania 2084 - Surplus Edition has been released as a downloadable PDF collection on itch.io. and on DriveThruRPG. The book has been sent to the printers now and in about a month I am expecting to be able to start delivering the physical hardback books of the game.
