Numinous Productions Presents "A Haunting, Beloved: A Bluebeard's Bride Story"
When a young, disabled woman marries a rich widow and moves to her mansion, she soon learns that there is more to the home (and her wife) than is immediately apparent. What secrets lie within the locked chambers of your heart?
Brought to you by Numinous Productions, A Haunting, Beloved is a cinematic actual play featuring an all-disabled, majority BIPOC-cast playing an adapted version of Bluebeard’s Bride through a lens of disability justice. Our story is a love letter to the gothic genre that centers the experience of disability in narrative and play, and considers themes such as gender, queerness, grief, desire, and the body.
Featuring Basil Wright as the Animus; Candace the Magnificent as the Fatale; Keegan Thoranin as the Ingénue; Nala J. Wu as the Mother; Button as the Witch; and Esther Wallace as the Groundskeeper. System adaptations by Basil Wright and Esther Wallace.
