In the latest season of the TTRPG podcast My First Dungeon, the cast is living—or perhaps un-living—it up in 1920s New York City as they play Paint the Town Red by Zach Cox. The series is sponsored by Cox's SoulMuppet Publishing, the second such collaboration between them and Many Sided Media.

Listeners can hear the first of four actual play episodes when the BackerKit campaign launches on October 10th, 2024 with new episodes dropping every other week through November. In the lead up to Episode 1, an interview with Zach Cox is now available and Session 0 will drop on September 26th.

This series brings together a cast of actual play favorites including Superdillin (One Shot), Drakoniques (Beyond the Brook), Edward Spence (The Fourth Age), Shenuque Tissera (My First Dungeon), and Brian Flaherty (My First Dungeon). Many Sided Media's Elliot Davis and Abby Hepworth will be producing the season.

Set in an alternate 1920s New York City, the players find themselves chasing the last gasps of the Roaring 20s in an original adventure for the game written by Many Sided Media’s Elliot Davis and Brian Flaherty—a first of its kind collaboration for the series. Supporters of the game will be able to grab this adventure as part of the BackerKit campaign.

Listeners can expect the usual My First Dungeon brand of immersive sound design, original music by BE/HOLD and J Strautman, and a compelling story about trying to fight off your sadness in undeath.

"We are delighted to be working with SoulMuppet Publishing again this season." Says the producing team. "Zach Cox has a knack for designing games that let you relish in comedy and tragedy in equal measure and we aim to live up to that balance each time we play their games."
