Bogfolk is proud to announce our second print release: MetaFire, a collection of content for our flagship TTRPG, Lichoma.

MetaFire is two books in one. The first, “Metastasis,” takes GMs and players deeper into the city of the Wen with new adventures, factions, supplemental rules, and a Mörk Borg-to-Lichoma conversion guide. The second, “Firestarter,” lets players save their city or burn it to the ground with additional rules, adventures, cults, and creatures pertaining to the anarcho-revolutionary Wildfires faction.

“Lichoma was always meant to be a base system to hang multiple stories around, not just the one of Eden [from the core release],” said van den Berg. “With MetaFire, we show a little more of what's all capable in this setting, from humor to traumacore, which are sometimes impossible to separate.”

MetaFire will be a 150-page, A5, full-color hardback with faux-leather cover. “Metastasis” will be printed on the recto of each page, and “Firestarter” will be printed upside down on the versos. Lichoma

Lichoma is a card-based meatpunk TTRPG set in a verge-of-collapse dystopia where all finance and technology derives from flesh. Players take on the roles of desperate people doing desperate things to survive in desperate times. The rules-light system uses dice pools and creative interpretation of text and images to inspire outside-the-box thinking and problem-solving.

Lichoma’s Kickstarter campaign raised over $25,000 in 2022. The game was nominated for The Awards and Indie Groundbreakers in 2023, and Strega Wolf Eden van den Berg and Walton Wood attended Breakout Con ’24 as special guests and gamerunners.
