Horrors of the Unknown: Endless possibilities of the Unknown Beast

Are you a fan of Agatha Christie’s mysteries, do you resonate with Sherlock Holmes’ deductions, or enjoy Scooby-Doo’s goofy adventures? Ever find yourself crafting fan theories after binge-watching a series? Or perhaps your wall is adorned with a sprawling web of conspiracy theories, all linked by crimson thread? If so, this game might be for you.

Unknown Beast is a GMless, low-prep, horror-mystery tabletop roleplaying game. This is an open-ended story-driven game where players create the mystery as they play the game. The mystery does not have a pre-planned solution and the game requires little to no preparation. All you need is your imagination, horror storytelling skills and a group of 3 to 5 players ready to play.

At the beginning of the game, no one knows what kind of monster we are facing, but the story is created as the game progresses. This means that literally anything can happen and the mystery can be vampires, aliens, zombies, secret agents of the government or just the teenagers in the neighborhood or whatever the players come up with.

Mystery is constructed by discovering levels of details about info concerning the Beast. These are short phrases that are added to the conspiracy board and linked to each other. Each player will pull and push the mystery toward their own internal vision allowing endless possible solutions and giving the experience of true investigator.
