The live show marks an historic first appearance of actual play on the legendary stage, but do the venue's values align with Dimension 20’s?

On April 8th, Dropout announced they’ll be hosting a live performance of their actual play series Dimension 20 at Madison Square Garden. Dimension 20: Gauntlet at The Garden will take place, fittingly, in the show’s The Unsleeping City universe—a fantasy version of New York City, where more often than not the evil hand of capitalism is draining The City That Never Sleeps of its inherent magic.

The show will include the main cast of Dimension 20, including Brennan Lee Mulligan, Emily Axford, Ally Beardsley, Brian Murphy, Zac Oyama, Siobhan Thompson, and Lou Wilson. This performance at the legendary venue marks a huge advancement for actual play’s position in the larger culture, but the Garden’s recent past embodies some of the modern world’s problematic elements that the Dropout series critiques.
