Dice Exploder returns for Season 5
The ENnie-nominated TTRPG design podcast is back with the first of 14 new episodes.
That's right it's time for another season of Dice Exploder! Each week on this RPG design podcast, host Sam Dunnewold breaks down one game mechanic with a new cohost as deep as they possibly can.
Season 5 is going to bring classic Dice Exploder episodes about new topics, like creating physical artifacts of play in Two Hand Path, pre-generated characters in Last Train to Bremen, and a two parter on the highs and lows of the bombastic dungeon crawler Heart: the City Beneath.
But this season we're also going deep on RPG's sister medium: larp. Whether it's four friends in your living room playing Ghost Court, an elaborate murder mystery party, or 500 people in an authentic castle in Europe, what can the tabletop players learn from those who've stood up and left the table behind?
