Three years after the release of the original Zinequest darling, CRESCENT's second edition releases on itch.io boasting all-new rules, art, and presentation.

CRESCENT is an all-ages fantasy adventure game where players embody a band of mischievous rascals set on finding a way back home from The Daydream. The game presents itself as a bold spin on classic fairy tale stories with a roguish, playful edge: as it inherits an action-focused ruleset that bows as much to the OSR scene as it does to classics like John Harper's Blades in the Dark or Jay Dragon's Wanderhome.

This successor to the original game adopts many of the innovations first unveiled on Acosta's dark fantasy EXILE. Namely, the use of printable cards to generate characters, choose abilities, hold items, cast spells, and even suffer consequences. The result, according to Acosta, is a more streamlined experience that enhances the heartfelt spirit of the original game, while empowering it to reach a wider audience.
