Casting Call for The Walled Garden: Knights of Twilight
The Walled Garden: Knights of Twilight is an actual play set in an enchanting fantasy world brimming with magic, romance, and court intrigue. Players will take on the roles of heroes transported from their homeland into a realm caught in the midst of a battle between magical kingdoms.
Apochromatic Unlimited is thrilled to announce an open casting call for our upcoming Actual Play series, The Walled Garden: Knights of Twilight. This unique long-form campaign is inspired by classic anime such as The Vision of Escaflowne, Magic Knight Rayearth, Knights & Magic, and Aura Battler Dunbine. We are seeking four passionate people of color to bring their creativity and energy to this fantastical journey.
About the Campaign:
The Walled Garden: Knights of Twilight is an actual play set in an enchanting fantasy world brimming with magic, romance, and court intrigue. Players will take on the roles of heroes transported from their homeland into a realm caught in the midst of a battle between magical kingdoms. They will confront giant insect-like creatures known as leviathans and pilot powerful mecha called engines. This immersive story promises to explore themes of knighthood, romance, betrayal, and the complex dynamics of court life.
Using Girl by Moonlight from Evil Hat Productions, our campaign will span 20 episodes over 10 sessions, be pre-recorded, and we will meet every two weeks to record. We aim to kick off recording in early September 2024.
What We’re Looking For:
We are seeking four dedicated people of color who are ready to dive into this rich narrative and contribute their unique perspectives. Whether you're a seasoned TTRPG player or new to the scene, if you're passionate about storytelling and eager to be part of an inclusive, dynamic team, we want to hear from you!

Apochromatic Unlimited started out as just a team of fourteen hopeless romantics, all of us in love with the idea of seeing faces that look like ours highlighted in TTRPG space. Born out of this frustration of the lack of POC representation, we came together and said, "Let's just do it ourselves." It was that simple.
