Calling All Creators: Submissions Open for 2025 Tabletop Arts Fund Actual Play Grants

The CROWN Grant Awards return with a new home! The Tabletop Arts Fund has opened submissions for its 2025 Actual Play Grants, promising five outstanding actual play creators the opportunity to have their work showcased at web festivals around the world.

Submissions are open to any actual play with a public release in 2024, or pre-recorded projects slated for release by January 31st, 2025. Projects will be judged according to their storytelling, performance, and technical skill, with preference given to first-time festival entrants, and to BIMPOC and LBGTQ+ creators.

Selected projects will receive a cash award covering submission fees to the twelve festivals of the Audio Fiction World Cup, as well as technical and creative assistance in creating their submission materials.

"After last year's success, bringing our actual play grants back for the new festival season was an easy decision," said Aaron Hammonds, Executive Director of the Tabletop Arts Fund. "Last year's winners made a huge splash, racking up dozens of acceptances, nominations, and awards. We're eager to give a new group of creators the opportunity to see their work celebrated the same way."

Previously administered by Queen's Court Games, the Actual Play Grants are now a project of the Tabletop Arts Fund. This newly founded non-profit seeks to promote outstanding independent tabletop and actual play creators, providing professional development, networking opportunities, and charitable grants.

Creators can submit their projects via an online form. Submissions will close on November 15th, 2024 with winners to be announced via live-stream in December. For more information, reach out via e-mail at contact@tabletopartsfund.org.
