Call of Cthulhu comes to the Edinburgh Fringe Festival!
Chaosium is presenting Call of Cthulhu - Live in the Library, on August 23rd and 24th.
The Edinburgh Fringe Festival has been long renowned as one of the greatest celebrations of arts and culture on the planet, presenting an astoundingly diverse array of theatrical events, comedy shows, musical performances, and more. And this year Call of Cthulhu is coming to the Fringe!
In collaboration with the National Library of Scotland and the University of Edinburgh's History and Games Lab, Chaosium is presenting Call of Cthulhu - Live in the Library on August 23rd and 24th.
The three hour actual play show features Call of Cthulhu creative director Mike Mason as Keeper of Arcane lore. Mike is crafting a 1920's Mythos scenario set in Edinburgh's Garrick Theatre for the brave Investigators, who are led by French-Scottish actor Josephine McAdam. Josephine was seen recently in Chaosium's blockbuster Call of Cthulhu actual play series Graveyards of Arkham. The other cast members will be revealed in coming weeks!
"Actual play – playing a tabletop roleplaying game live on stage – is a highly entertaining art form that in recent years has reached out from gaming fandom into a wider audience – and we're excited to be bringing it with Call of Cthulhu to the biggest arts festival in the world", said Chaosium's Michael O'Brien, the show's producer.
