Bloom&Blight Welcomes New Cast Member
Dani Gage joins the Magical Girl cast as an existing fan favorite character.
Spoilers ahead for the Bloom&Blight Season 1 Finale.
Bloom&Blight's second season sees a new hero join the team. Fan favorite NPC Zeke, the nerdy linguistics major introduced all the way back in episode 1, surprised fans when he showed signs of blossoming powers at the end of season 1. He now joins Larkspur, Belladonna, Daffodil, and Wolfsbane on team Bloom as the new magical girl Iris.
Dani’s Iris joins the team at a pivotal point in Bloom's fight against GENIX:
"I was so excited to join the group as Zeke and get to bring even more life to a character the cast had interacted with. I was scared of not doing them right, but after getting the vibe with everyone else, I am very pleased with the choices we made while rounding out who Zeke would be as I piloted him. I hope everyone loves this little bean as much as I loved playing them!"
Dani (she/her) is a mixed Korean TTRPGer whose most recent hyperfixations include VRising and organizing data. She cosplays, is the proud human of two small dogs, and has a deep passion for collaborative storytelling. Her most recent work can be seen in Pixel Circus' Girl by Moonlight game In the Name Of, and the horror/mystery LARP/escape room They're Here. Dani recently began work as Archivist for Darrington Press's Daggerheart.
Dani's first appearance as Iris will be in the season 1 recap episode that will air between season 1 and 2. Dani quickly garnered the respect of the rest of the cast with her take on the lovable former person-in-the-chair.
“Dani has absolutely blown me away with how quickly they stepped into Zeke’s shoes and how perfectly they fit! They have brought such life to the character and managed to incorporate quirks that I had imagined for Zeke in my head but hadn’t made it to the show yet! She could be a mind reader truly!” remarked Taylor, the show's gamemaster.
Bloom&Blight Season 2 begins this Fall with the episode Broken Nexus.
