BLOOD & TEARS, A New Vampire TTRPG Coming to Zine Quest 2025

Blood & Tears is a tabletop roleplaying game for 1-5 players about vampires who have lived centuries, who exist in the shadows of history, and whose vast lives have left ripples in time that will forever come back to haunt them. You'll pick playbooks based on the 4 humours that will guide your vampires' impulses, and build a character with skills and knowledge earned over centuries. They will deal with personal threats, factional calamities, and the constant threat that their secret will be exposed.
Blood & Tears is about power. It is about age and loss and longing. It is about telling a beautifully sad and thrilling tale of immortals who are either at the end of their lives, or will live long enough to see the end of existence itself.
It is influenced by stories about vampires being messy, like Interview With The Vampire (2022) and Near Dark (1987). It will focus on vampires becoming distant from mortal perspectives and customs like Shadow of the Vampire (2000) and Thousand Year Old Vampire (2019). And it will be about telling stories over vast swaths of time.
Blood & Tears is funding on Kickstarter from February 1st to the 12th, with rewards ranging to discounted digital copies, adding your own vampires and occult characters to the game, to physical zines shipped with narrative artifacts.
