We at R. Talsorian Games are very excited to share the news that the Cyberpunk: Edgerunners Mission Kit is now off to the printers!  This means now we can begin to finally fill you in on what we've been cooking up all this time.

The box set, which functions as a standalone product, a starter kit for the Cyberpunk RED tabletop game and also a taste of the Cyberpunk 2077 era, brings you straight into the aftermath of the Cyberpunk: Edgerunners finale!

The box set will contain 3 books totaling 120 pages, pregenerated characters, Cyberpunk: Edgerunners-themed dice, maps, standees, the works!

One Box, All You Need

The Cyberpunk: Edgerunners Mission Kit is a standalone set.  The box is not only for brand new players getting into the Cyberpunk RED tabletop roleplaying game.  Within are multiple new resources for players both new and veteran!

The Aftermath of Cyberpunk: Edgerunners

Contained within the Cyberpunk: Edgerunners Mission Kit is a mission made as a love letter to both the anime and also Cyberpunk 2077 as a whole.

The Jacket takes place in the time after the events of Cyberpunk: Edgerunners, putting you and your crew into the period between the ending of the anime and the start of Cyberpunk 2077.

You will meet new faces, and some old ones too, as you step in to help recover some stolen iconic gear, taken from a rather sentimental cowboy.

The Jacket is designed to throw players right into the action of the Cyberpunk RED TTRPG, and also written with multiple different potential endings.

What choices will end in tragedy is up to you.

Is this a New Version of Cyberpunk?

The Cyberpunk: Edgerunners Mission Kit is many things, but it is not a new version of the Cyberpunk TTRPG rules. It is also not a core rulebook in itself. The Rule Book included contains what you need to play through the kit.

The new rules outlined in the box set for the Cyberpunk 2077 era are fully run with the existing Cyberpunk RED system. Cyberpunk RED is the latest edition, which is a refined and modernized version of the iconic Cyberpunk 2020 edition.

This means that existing Cyberpunk RED games can indeed be adapted to the 2070s setting and vice versa if a GM wishes to. If a player has experience with Cyberpunk RED, they will feel very comfortable playing with what's available in the box.

While it is designed as a standalone product, it was also designed to be the new starter kit for Cyberpunk RED simultaneously. It is also only a taste of what is to come for the setting of Cyberpunk 2077.

When Will It Release? What's The Price?

The planned release window is mid to late June, barring any potential delays that may occur with printing or shipping.

Once we have the physical product available in our warehouse, we will make it available through our own webstore. At that time, we will also make it available digitally through DriveThruRPG for anyone to be able to pick up.

For local stores, it will be available when distribution and shipping allows. International releases will also be at this rate.

Versions for Virtual Tabletops Roll20 and Fantasy Grounds will follow later down the line.

One of the Busiest Times for R. Talsorian Games

For what's turning out to be one of our busiest years yet for new games, such as Shadow Scar by Cody Pondsmith and Fossilized Violence from James Hutt, we can't wait to see what you all think about this latest entry to the Cyberpunk line!

We also have set to release this year Tales of the Red: Forlorn Hope which is a new book containing 6 gigs as a full campaign. This book will be taking the iconic Forlorn Hope bar from Cyberpunk 2020 and continuing its legacy into the Time of the Red.
